Huntsville Hospital Foundation is honoured to announce that Chris and George Gilley, loyal donors of the hospital, have once again demonstrated their leadership and support.
Since 2004, Chris and George have played a significant role in shaping the future of healthcare for Huntsville and surrounding communities. Their commitment over the years has saved lives and improved patient care at Huntsville Hospital.
In their latest act of generosity, Chris and George surprised the Foundation with a generous gift by transferring securities to help acquire new medical equipment for Huntsville Hospital. While the specifics of the donation amount have been kept confidential at their request, the impact of their investment will be felt across multiple departments, including Emergency, ICU, and Surgery.
“We have been long time supporters of Huntsville Hospital because we recognize how important our hospital is for the community,” shares Chris. “We love our hospital, and it’s our responsibility to support it.”

Our History:
The Huntsville and District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary was formed in 1955 primarily as strictly as a support group for hospital staff. Through the years we began to raise money and assist financially via various public support events such as tag days. Branches Gift Shop was installed in 19__ and became a major fund raiser.
We now also generate funds by staging public fun events such as house tours, fashion shows, variety shows and the ever popular Christmas Cookie Sale.
With the exception of student & staff scholarships and operational expenses, all proceeds are used to assist the hospital in the purchase of medical equipment.
